What is Digital Signature?
Digital Signature Certificate is the Digitally Stored Signature in an encryption device like USB Token (Pen Drive). A digital signature can be obtained in the name of any Individual. These signatures can be used to verify the identity of the individual, to sign documents electronically, or to access certain information over the internet.
What is the need of a Digital Signature Certificate?
A DSC Mainly used to sign the forms or documents digitally or electronically in the digital form or over the internet. A DSC is protected with the password, to prevent the unauthorized use of the signature. With the use of DSC, you can encrypt the information and freeze the data which is sent by you. This reduces the chances of changing data by the recipient and avoids all kind of malpractices
How many types are of DSC?
DSC's are mainly classified in 3 Types:
- Class 2 DSC
- Class 3 DSC
- DGFT DSC
What is the use of Class 2 DSC?
Class-2 DSC's are generally multipurpose DSC. These signatures are used for many works such as Income Tax Filling, Company/LLP Incorporation, EPF registration, ESI registration, MCA, Annual filling, GST, Trademark filling, and other documents etc.
What is the use of Class 3 DSC?
Class-3 DSC's are mainly used for e-tendering, e-auctions, e-procurement, IEC Certificate. Also to participate in the government bodies auctions and bids a valid Class-3 DSC's are required.
How much time is required to apply and obtain DSC?
DSC is issued on the same day, after the due verification of the submitted application. Before processing of the application, mobile and video verification is required. Once both verifications are done, the DSC application is approved within 12 Hours.
Does any physical verification is required to Get DSC?
No, there's no need for any kind of physical visit or physical verification. DSC's are issued based on mobile verification and video verification of the user.
